This position is responsible for planning, communicating, implementing, and coordinating application system development projects across multiple platforms. Prioritizes customer requests for systems development efforts and sets delivery schedules. Allocates development resources according to business needs. Leads the development team to control and improve the development process while providing the team with technical leadership and mentoring.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will have accountability for leading Enterprise Application Development initiatives for our client:
• Be a thought leader who can manage and help lead the development team in translating business requirements into integrated and stable software solutions.
• Drive a consistent set of standards across the company for application architecture, design and software development methodology.
• Drive software development efforts including analysis, design, build, test and configuration of the developed code.
• Ensure best practice development methodologies, tools, and techniques are identified and employed.
• Provide technical leadership that allows the team to expand their technical skills, understanding of, methods, and development toolsets.
• Design, code, integrate, test, and debug application software.
• Employ application integration middleware and best-practices to realize an enterprise architecture that fosters business agility through attributes such as service-orientation, loose-coupling, abstraction, orchestration, composite applications, etc.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

• Seasoned developer with excellent programming abilities utilizing the standard Microsoft development suite (ASP.Net, C#, Ajax/JQuery, MS SQL Server (SSIS, SSRS, SSAS), XML), with a minimum of eight (8) years of development leadership experience.
• Experience in a global company with multiple remote locations is highly desirable.
• Seasoned experience with both back office business application development and customer facing e-commerce solutions.
• Solid understanding of modern application architectures, development methodologies and tools is required.
• Exemplary experience in developing software and leading development teams.
• Expertise in the design, development and deployment of enterprise-level N-tier applications on the MS .Net platforms is needed.
• Experience with concepts, design patterns, tools, and platforms that involve standard Microsoft development solutions.
• Knowledge of a broad spectrum of enterprise applications. Particular expertise with ERP systems (including Financials, Shop Floor, Supply Chain, MRP, HRIS and CRM applications) and engineering support applications (including PDM/PLM, CAD/CAM software) is desirable but not required.
• Comfortable with ambiguity and possess an ability to adapt quickly and easily. Ability to analyze complex problems and move them to resolution.
• Background and style that elicits respect in the organization through style of engagement, technical depth, customer service and results.
• Positive attitude and ability to build strong relationships within the company and with external partners.
• Experience in leading and/or managing team utilizing one or more development methodologies including Agile, SCRUM, RUP, or Waterfall.
• Very strong communication (written and verbal) skills.

Equipment Used: PC, telephone, fax, copier equipment and other standard office equipment.

Supervisory Responsibility: Leading technical teams

Interface: All levels of associates, partners, and vendors.

Education and/or Training
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent combination of experience and training.
• Minimum of ten (10) years development experience.
